Twig & Stone has helped me find balance and creative expression, but I wanted to build something that could have a positive impact beyond my own home. I have watched friends struggle through challenges – whether they be political refugees with little to no language skills or single moms or those who need extra financial help for one reason or another. I wanted to use my business to help, even if the ripple seemed small and inconsequential. So rather than making bracelets in a large, foreign factory, where wages would be lower and profits higher, we make 100% of our bracelets in the homes of and by the hands of amazing women who have found in Twig & Stone a means for generating income that wouldn’t otherwise be available given other constraints.
